Zoe and I went to visit Aly at her volunteer role at the TRACS Rabbit Sanctuary since rabbits are Zoe’s favourite animal in the world. She loved being surrounded by them all. Aly has been doing great volunteering through the winter despite the cold conditions.
Toby and I have been volunteering the Kelowna Food Bank each week. I don’t know about him but I love it. He likes checking the expiry dates and I love sorting the donations into categories. It’s difficult to get there between him finishing school and the food bank closing, but it’s well worth the trip. I had wanted to volunteer at the Food Bank for as long as I’ve been in Canada so I’m very pleased to have finally got my act together.
We’re halfway through a family cold at the moment. Zoe is done and Toby and I are pretty much back to normal but Sascha is headed downhill. Sascha was playing at Disneyland all week last week which was bad timing since I had to drive everyone around sniffling and coughing on everybody I met. At least Toby was low maintenance. He basically lay in bed for 2 days straight. There are definitely benefits to having teenagers. Sascha and I have gone from a date twice a year to 2-3 a week. All those sleepless nights have finally paid off!
